Drug Uses
Erythromycin is used for curing of infections caused by certain bacteria. It is also used to prevent bacterial endocarditis and attacks of rheumatic fever. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
How Taken
Use Erythromycin as suggested by your physician. To avoid stomach upset take Erythromycin with food intake. Swallow Erythromycin whole. Don't break, crush, or chew before swallowing. Don't eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while you use Erythromycin. This product works best if taken at the same times each day. To clear up your infection completely, take Erythromycin for the full course of treatment. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days.
Additional Information
If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, visit your physician. This pill should be used only by the patient for whom it has been recommended. Don't take less or more or take it more often than prescribed by your physician.
