Drug Uses
Nolvadex is used for treatment of breast cancer that has spread to other sites in the body. It is also used along with other pills to cure other types of breast cancer. It is used in women who are at high risk for breast cancer and in women with DCIS (after surgery and radiation) to decrease the risk of developing breast cancer. It can also be used for other situation as recommended by your physician.
How Taken
Use Nolvadex with a glass of clear water as ordered by your physician. Take Nolvadex with or without a food. Swallow this medication whole. Do not break, crush, or chew before swallowing. Continue to use Nolvadex even if you feel well. Do not miss any doses. Taking Nolvadex at the same time daily will help you to remember to use it.
Additional Information
Nolvadex may cause dizziness. These effects may worsen if Nolvadex is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Nolvadex with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you react to this medication. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, call your doctor. Nolvadex should be used only by the patient for whom it has been recommended. Don't take less or more or take it more often than directed by your physician.
