Drug Uses
Inderal is indicated for treatment of high blood pressure, prevention of angina pectoris (chest pain), management of a heart condition called hypertrophic subaortic stenosis, curing and preventing certain abnormal or rapid heart rhythms, improvement of survival after a heart attack in certain patients, treatment of tremor, prevention of migraine headaches, and treating symptoms of adrenal gland tumors. It may be used alone or with other pills. It may also be used for other condition as recommended by your physician.
How Taken
Use Inderal as directed by your doctor. Use Inderal with or without a food, but it should be taken at the same time daily and consistently either on an empty stomach or with food. Don't take antacids containing aluminum within two hours of taking Inderal. Continue to use Inderal even if you feel well.
Additional Information
Inderal may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or lightheadedness. These effects may worsen if Inderal is taken with alcohol or certain other medications.
Use Inderal with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this medicine. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, contact your physician. This drug should be used only by the patient for whom it has been suggested. Do not take less or more or take it more often than directed by your doctor.
