Drug Uses
Premarin is indicated for treating symptoms of advanced breast cancer in selected men and women, curing or preventing a variety of symptoms due to menopause (hot flashes, vaginal itching, burning, dryness), preventing osteoporosis (brittle bones) after menopause, replacing estrogen after failure of the ovaries, and treating advanced prostate cancer in men. This pill can be used for certain situations, as directed by your physician, which may not be listed in the professional package insert. How Taken
Premarin should be taken with a meal. Use it at the same time every day. Visit your doctor about the dose suitable for you and discuss stopping taking Premarin four - six weeks before surgery.
Additional Information
Premarin can cause dizziness. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Premarin with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly negative tasks until you know how you react to it. Do not share this medicine with others for whom it was not directed. Do not take this drug for other health conditions. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, call your doctor.
